Annual Meeting: Feb. 16th, 2017

The LLNA Annual Meeting is scheduled for the evening of February 16, 2017, from 6 pm to 9 pm in the Library Seminar room at the Littleton High School. It will be an information-filled evening! Everyone is welcome.

The draft agenda is as follows:

--From 6:15 to 7::00 we will be having our pot luck dinner. Please bring your
food items between 6:00 and 6:25. Coffee will be served.

--At 7:00 I will say a few words and we will take care of any LLNA business.

--7:15 or so, we will warmly welcome TOM FLANNERY, an Aquatic Ecologist from
the Boston office of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and
Recreation, Lakes and Ponds Program. He will speak about their lakes
program, and the kinds of issues they've been having with invasive species
across Massachusetts [In the spring/early summer, his department said they
will be able to hold a training on invasive plant identification.].

--8/8:15 or so, COREY GODFREY, the environmental analyst from Littleton's
Water Department, will follow Tom's talk with a summary of what sampling was
conducted at Long Lake this past summer, and what is planned for the coming
year.

I told Corey that there is strong interest in the neighborhood in
information about the health of the lake and how our Association may be able
to help. At the end of the meeting, I'd like to wrap up by scoping out a
tentative plan of action for the next 5 years or so. By then, hopefully the
Mill Pond project will be complete, and the Town could focus once again on
the storm water issues at Long Lake. We should finish up by 9:00pm.

Any questions, please let me know!

Anna Mayor

President, LLNA
